Sail to Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, with stops for (a) short snorkel at
Marina Cay, and (b) anchoring failure at Monkey Point. One of our
few beautiful days with clear sky and great sunset, Wednesday 5/18

We tried anchoring at Monkey Point. After about 20 minutes, we put down the kayak to snorkel in, when Captain Bill noticed we were adrift!!
After we finally raised the anchor, it had this large piece of coral stuck in it. The coral had broken off. After trying several smaller tools in vain,
Bill finally knocked the coral off with the 2 foot by 5 foot steel substitute steering column!!
