Our engine totally failed just out of White Lake, so we totally sailed the final ten miles to Muskegon against a strong southwest wind. With only our large jib sail, it took us along at six knots. We hoped the engine would start again inside the calmer Muskegon outer harbor, but Bill had two anchors ready just in case.
